We’re in Vegas! What to do, what to do?
Get out of Vegas.
Red Rock Canyon is only 17 miles west of the Strip. In other words, a world away from the bright lights of glitzytyown.
This is 195,819 acres of natural splendor.
It was Nevada’s first National Conservation area.
We didn’t have time to hit any of the 30 hiking trails, but the 13-mile scenic drive is often breathtaking, with grand vistas and smaller delights.
Don’t be held captive by the raucous excitement of the Strip. Take a day. Go exploring where the glamour is quieter, but no less spectacular.
